American composer Dan Forrest’s newest and most expansive major work is a monumental oratorio for chorus, orchestra, and soloists that celebrates the awe-inspiring beauty of our world, weaving together a rich tapestry of music, poetry, and spirituality. Creation is a testament to the power of music to evoke wonder, reverence, and a renewed sense of our place in the universe.
Join us for a delightful holiday celebration featuring well-loved and new choral Christmas classics, highlighted by Antonio Vivaldi’s timeless Gloria, a brilliant and uplifting masterpiece for chorus, soloists, and orchestra.
LCS is joined by students from the Chestatee High School chorus in a concert of music by American composer Stephen Sondheim, regarded as one of the most important figures in 20th century musical theater. Highlights include songs from Company, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, and others.
